I really enjoyed reading this book. Since I currently live in Texas, I felt I could relate to Trevor's first impression of the state, even in a small town. I enjoyed the fact it was light hearted and made for a fun reading experience, despite the element of mystery that hung over the town he visited. I do feel that as the story developed, the obviousness of what was really going on kind of slapped me in the face as a reader...and the phrase 'beating a dead horse' came to mind repeatedly, but all in all it was an enjoyable story. I would recommend this book for fans of sci-fi and travel (from the U.K. to U.S.) with a bit of authenticity.
