Review: Warlord's Shadow

Warlord's Shadow Warlord's Shadow by Frost Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this novella. It's a short read that tells the horrid tale of a warlord's wrath thrust upon his sister, all in the name of 'love'. Terrifying, if you ask me. I'd recommend you read this as part of the Aermian Feuds series, and for fantasy readers.

Review: Holding on to Forever

Holding on to Forever Holding on to Forever by Siobhan Davis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I finished this book several months ago, but forgot to post review (whoops).

I enjoyed reading this book. I found parts of it difficult to get through to a degree, but the characters really seem to reach out and grab you. It deals with difficulties in college, drug addiction, the family issues of some and taking care of family members for others. I'd recommend this book to fans of darker books about overcoming the downward spiral of life.

Review: Sweet Retribution

Sweet Retribution Sweet Retribution by Siobhan Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I finished this book several months ago, but forgot to review (whoops).

This is the final book in the Rydeville High series, and it is full of more dark situations that result in an eventual HEA type ending, minus the unicorns and rainbows. There are enough twists and turns to keep a reader interested, though I'm not sure I'd recommend this read for the faint of heart. If you are interested in darkly intimate books that include violence and aggression, this is definitely the series for you, though I'd recommend you start with book 1 in this trilogy.
