I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were all teenagers that have been facing evil forces as they attempt to go about their regular lives. Ryn discovers she is also a member of this class (Davina), and is mentored by a group of friends so she can find her place in this society. Review: Wilder Destiny

Wilder Destiny Wilder Destiny by G.K. DeRosa
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading this book. It sheds a new light on the usual YA friendly vampire romance book. Celeste Wilder is a strong MC that continues her Guardian responsibilities while trying to hash things out with her relationship with her vampire boyfriend, Roman. A few new characters are introduced in this book, and the intrigue into what parts these characters would eventually play in the scheme of things held my interest though the rest of the book. I would recommend this book to fan of Vampires, YA friendly PNR, and fans of urban fantasy.

Illusionary Illusionary by LeAnn Mason

Loved this book!

I really enjoyed reading this book. Nat is a strong and well developed character with a power combo unlike others in her community. Holden is literally the swoon worthy strong silent type with his own capability.

I'd recommend this book for fans of urban fantasy, humans with unique enhancements, and an experimental team where both Sages & Primals work with NEs (non-enhanced) humans to find justice for others that are being harmed.

My personal take on the book:

What? WhAt? WHAT?!?

That's how this book ended. I'm still wondering...WHAT?!

This book draws you in as you get to know the members of the royal court and those that live in their kingdom. Kyr, Ash & Nyx all have incredibly unique personalities...and I really enjoyed the fact that this entire book was one huge death defying roller coaster of emotion wrapped up in a small package.

If you think you're ready for a fantasy book that's going to totally knock your socks off, try this one on for size. (I do hope book 2 will be on it's way very soon...ack!)

Review: Protector of Midnight

Protector of Midnight Protector of Midnight by Debbie Cassidy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the first book in this series, and also the first book I've read so far by this author, but it gave me a clear picture of the characters and their current circumstances in life.

There is a wide mix of supernatural creatures that reside in Midnight, and though Serenity has lived in Sunset since her adoption all of these years, and even gone so far as to deny herself the basic sustenance she craves to survive in a community of humans in Sunset so she could be there for her sister, she discovers Midnight does not really match up with what she had come to expect.

The world building in this book is amazing, and I can't wait to read more from this author. I would recommend this book to readers that are fans of dark urban fantasy that include a variety of supernatural creatures.
