Review: The Highlander’s Trust (Blood of Duncliffe Series)

The Highlander’s Trust (Blood of Duncliffe Series) The Highlander’s Trust (Blood of Duncliffe Series) by Emilia Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is book 1 in a new highlander series by Emilia Ferguson, and it contains the same amount of adoration, intrigue, danger and the encounters with occasional hardships as the Lairds of Dunkeld series. If you are fan of historical romances, you will enjoy reading this book.

Review: The Pack

The Pack The Pack by L.M. Preston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. Shamira is self-sufficient and bad-arse, especially considering she is blind. She is living on Mars, and when she discovers that kids are being taken, decides to get together with other concerned individuals and set up a rescue mission. This book is packed with adventure and overcoming the odds, and if you are a fan of ya sci-fi and ya fantasy, you will feel right at home when reading this novel.

Review: Amber Vial

Amber Vial Amber Vial by Frost Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this story. The MC is Allie Sai; she's a girl with incredibly bad luck that also has a fear of flying, and comes from a family that prides themselves on brewing the finest moonshine in the galaxy. She is selected as one of the females chosen to help populate an alien planet, which is not ideal for her since she's already afraid of aliens as well. If you enjoy books with sci-fi, space travel, aliens and pirates, you will enjoy reading this book.

Review: Shades of Fae: A Limited Edition Collection of Urban Fantasy and Fantasy Novels

Shades of Fae: A Limited Edition Collection of Urban Fantasy and Fantasy Novels Shades of Fae: A Limited Edition Collection of Urban Fantasy and Fantasy Novels by C.K. Dawn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm basing this review on two stories I've read out of this huge collection so far. Remnants of Ash by C.K. Dawn and Marked Paradox by Heather Renee and Jen L. Grey. Fantasy and Fae dance and intertwine perfectly in both of these stories, and I look forward to reading more writing from this set of authors. I really enjoyed reading both of these books, and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more. I'd recommend this set to fans of fantasy and fae lore, and wanted to include this full set is most likely intended for more mature readers.

Review: Shades of Fury

Shades of Fury Shades of Fury by Heather Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. Taya seems to have drawn the short end of the stick in this story. With the loss of her brother looming over her...along with the fact that her father (the Alpha, btw) is in a coma and on the brink of death...she is now forced to consider taking over his position with her best friend as Beta. When she decides to set out to avenge her brother's death...and ends up trying to find help for her father, she is determined to set things right by wiping out whoever it is that has decided to mess with her family.

Loads of touch decisions need to be made, and there is a definite heat between Taya and Liam, the hot shifter from an East Coast pack. Will Taya be able to keep her cool long enough to do the things she needs to? I'd recommend this book to readers that enjoy urban fantasies with strong female protagonists and werewolf shifters.

Review: Insatiable

Insatiable Insatiable by Sariah Skye
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. I have been reading this series since book 1, and I recommend you do the same if you choose to start this series. It makes the story much more enjoyable and easier to keep up with.

There are plenty of steamy scenes in this book, a few that got me a little hot under the collar, even though steamy romances aren't usually my preferred type of read. Lots of sci-fi and fantasy elements are included in this book.

Bash is by far my fave 'protector' character in this series...I've always had a soft spot for the more intelligent characters...but Xander may have gained a bit of entry into my fave file as well with the heat of the scene of these two with Ava. *fanning self* Oh, and did I happen to mention Trystan with his sexy accent, or Mathias with his all around hotness? Reading this series is almost too much...well, almost. ;)

That being said, if you are a fan of fantasy/sci-fi novels and intrigued by the thought of a steamy reverse harem novel, I'd recommend you start reading this series. This is book 3 in the series...but again, I'd recommend you start off with Book 1 in this set.

Review: Dragon's Song

Dragon's Song Dragon's Song by Emily Martha Sorensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading this book. This is the first edition in this series that I've read, but it is a cute story about a couple of humans that are chosen by a dragon's egg that contains Virgil. You get to experience life through Virgil's eyes, and it makes for a fun experience. I'd recommend this book for young readers that are interested in dragons.

Review: Somewhere Inside my Past

Somewhere Inside my Past Somewhere Inside my Past by S.C. Wallace
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a heartwarming story that contains a few steamy scenes and elements of the lighter side of darkness, steamy scenes, flashbacks and unexpected discoveries. I strongly recommend you start with the first book in this series and enjoy the flow of this story as it progresses.

This book is captivating and gives you hope as a reader. I'd recommend that readers that enjoy reading stories with heart give this book a try...Book 1 may break your heart a little...but reading Book 2 helps mend those fences a bit. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
