Review: Gods of Magic

Gods of Magic Gods of Magic by Linsey Hall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this novel. The only other set of books by this author I've already consumed all editions of is Dragon's Gift: The Valkyrie series. I enjoyed the start of this series set in the same world just as much. Rowan is easy to get to know as the book progresses, and it also contains plenty of battles and hurdles to overcome. If you enjoy fantasy adventure books, you'll enjoy reading this novel, though it does end at a point where you feel compelled to pick up The Amazon #2 ASAP so you can continue with this set of stories.

Review: Sepheus

Sepheus Sepheus by Andrea B. Lamoureux
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. In this segment of the Elemental Diaries series, we are told the story from Sepheus's point of view. He grows up the son of a torturer, and if you enjoy unexpected events and characters, you'll enjoy seeing how his story unfolds by the end of this book. If you are a fan of YA fantasy adventure books, I would recommend you invest in this series.

Review: Sharp Objects

Sharp Objects Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading this book. It definitely fits the bill as a chilling and unpredictable novel. I would recommend this read to anyone seeking a dark themed book that points out how easy it is to underestimate the danger behind a woman in emotional pain. If you're sensitive to books containing self-harm, I might suggest you avoid reading this book.

Review: Obsidian Horizon

Obsidian Horizon Obsidian Horizon by Heather Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the final book in the Blood of the Sea series, and Lavinia has been though so much thus far, but still has so far left to go. Get ready for unpredictable adventure, and unexpected alliances - with a just final resolution for those that get exactly what they deserve. I'd recommend this book to fans of vampires and pirates alike, though I'd recommend you read this series in the order in which it was published.

Review: The Triplet's Curse - Destiny's Story

The Triplet's Curse - Destiny's Story The Triplet's Curse - Destiny's Story by Marsha Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. Destiny awakens in a hospital room and discovers she has also awakened with her abilities that help her prepare for the battle that defines her part in the triplet's curse. If you are a fan of YA fantasy, you'll enjoy reading this book. I'd recommend starting out with Hope's story (book 1) in the series, but I believe this book can be read as a standalone novel that will leave you wanting to read the other books in the series.

Review: Invincible

Invincible Invincible by Sariah Skye
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the epic finale to The Curse of Avalon series, and it was definitely well worth the wait. Get ready for steamy encounters between Ava and her four incubus fiances, grand adventures as this reverse harem style read transforms into a full on Authurian style legend that is completely unpredictable. The series is wrapped up nicely and tied with a very sexy bow by the end of the book.

Review: Trying To Live With The Dead

Trying To Live With The Dead Trying To Live With The Dead by B.L. Brunnemer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. Alexis is the main character in this story, and she has inherited the family trait to see and feel ghosts. While she shares many of the negative traits that other heroines in similar books seem to share, I really liked the fact that she has managed to collect a group of male friends that are always willing to stand up for her - even though romantic encounters seems to be off the table with them by the end of book 1. Since I grew up in similar situation myself, I felt I could relate. It will be interesting to see where this story goes.
