Wow! I really enjoyed reading this book. This is actually the first book I've read by this author, and even though it is the second book in the series, I was able to keep up with what was happening rather easily. Full of action and danger...this book is just what I needed to escape my regular reads. A woman shows up in a town packed with evil types...and leaves no name so she can avoid leaving a trail.

With this story you get exposed to the way the darker side maintains an element of control in town, and you get to see just what 'Jess' is ready to do about it. The intimacy is without romance, which was a bit of a welcome change from my usual reads, and Jess is an absolute bad@$$ throughout this book. I would definitely recommend this read to anyone that is looking for a supernatural themed book with an edge.
