Review: Soul Of A Highlander (Lairds of Dunkeld Series)

Soul Of A Highlander (Lairds of Dunkeld Series) Soul Of A Highlander (Lairds of Dunkeld Series) by Emilia Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the tale of Francis and the intrigue surrounding Claudine, both as a woman and as someone that suffers from a mysterious illness that she never seems to be able to overcome. You are able to take part in the wariness that surrounds her situation, as witness first hand the love and devotion Francis offers as he seeks out a way to improve her health and gain her trust.

If you are a fan of historical romances, you should definitely start reading this book. I believe any book in the Lairds of Dunkeld series can be read as a standalone, though each one covers a different romance from another member of the same family line.

...And Now for Something Completely Different...

Release Day!! Don't miss out on this steamy NA Romance that is tinged with the dark and dangerous!
Seducing Kaden is the sixth book in the Kennedy Boys series, and it is now LIVE. I’m so excited for you to finally meet Kaden, the mysterious eldest Kennedy brother, and his love interest, Eva. This book is much darker and more intense that the other books in this series, and I can’t wait for you to read it! “The books in this series just suck me in! Kaden is one sexy beast … and definitely in the running now for my favorite Kennedy brother.” Meghann. Goodreads reviewer
Seducing KadenSeducing Kaden(The Kennedy Boys #6)
by Siobhan Davis
A new forbidden romance from USA Today bestseller Siobhan Davis. Standalone with an HEA and no cliffhanger.
Kaden
The woman I love will never be mine because she already belongs to another.
I’ve tried everything to forget her, but it’s impossible when she occupies a starring role in my dreams. My eyes are glued to her shapely curves whenever I see her around campus, and it doesn’t help that she looks as miserable as I feel.
I wonder if she misses me as much as I miss her.
Short of putting a bullet through the skull of that gangster she’s married to, I’m stuck in a hellhole of my own making.
Until fate intervenes, setting us on a collision course we can’t avoid.
Evelina
When I was a little girl, I dreamed of falling in love. The all-consuming sweep-you-off-your-feet kind of love I swooned over in movies.
It didn’t take long for that fairytale notion to come crashing down around me. Now I’m trapped in a marriage I despise with no way out.
The only light in the dark is Kaden Kennedy—the one true love of my life. He doesn’t know he is, because I’m forced to love him from afar, condemned to toss and turn at night, crying over everything I want and all I can never have.
Seeing him day in, day out, destroys me, but there’s no other choice; I had to push him away to keep him safe.
Because if my husband ever finds out I’m in love with another man, I won’t be the only one in danger.
While you don’t need to read the earlier books in this series to enjoy Seducing Kaden, it is highly recommended. This book is a contemporary new adult romance, and it is only suitable for readers aged eighteen and older due to mature content, sexual situations, and language.
This story includes details of an extramarital affair, so if you don’t like cheating or controversial storylines, then this book isn’t for you.
“Another phenomenal Kennedy Boys book. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end!” Katie Jo. Goodreads reviewer

Seducing Kaden teaser

Review: Seducing Kaden

Seducing Kaden Seducing Kaden by Siobhan Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's another great edition in The Kennedy Boys series, and this time the story is focused primarily on Kaden and the professor he fell for his first year in college. It turns out she is married to a man that is the dangerous sort, which leads to pain and suffering for both parties.

This book definitely has it's share of steamy moments, and I would recommend this book to anyone that doesn't mind exploring a romance that also includes danger and illegal activity. Will Kaden and Eva ever find happiness together, or will this situation end in the worst way possible?

Review: Broken Kingdom

Broken Kingdom Broken Kingdom by Stephany Wallace
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. This story focuses on the three fae brothers again, but focuses primarily on Ash and the fact love found him when he wasn't even looking. I love how secrets shine through when you aren't even expecting them!

The characters are all amazing in this series, and I really enjoyed the slight twists and turns in this novel that might pass you up and require a re-read if you happen to be zoned out when reading (I had to re-read a few passages myself for this reason). I'd recommend this book to readers that enjoy stories with royal ties and the fae.

Review: Rose Petal Graves

Rose Petal Graves Rose Petal Graves by Olivia Wildenstein
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 star rating for this novella...

This was definitely a shorter than usual read, but it was such a wonderful setup. I loved the characters and enjoyed feeling like I was a part of the literary world as the story progressed. It was so hard to figure out whose side I should be on...who is right/wrong/good/evil. I definitely want to check out the next book now. I would recommend this book for fans of faeries, the mystical and doesn't mind feeling like you're left with more questions than you started with.

Review: Protector

Protector Protector by J.A. Culican
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. It includes a continuation of the storyline from the other two Dragon Tamer books in this series, and the characters are all so easy to picture. This tale of a potential dragon slayer turned dragon protector makes for a wonderful read, though I recommend reading the books in this series in order. I'd recommend this book (and series) for fans of YA fantasy and dragons!
